This project posed a fascinating challenge: translating and localizing advanced public transportation management software for operators in Portugal. The project reflected Portugal’s significant investment in public transportation infrastructure, and presented us with a complex linguistic and cultural challenge. The software, originally developed in Hebrew, included systems for managing routes, maintenance, assigning drivers and handling complaints – all of which required not only accurate translations, but also a thorough understanding of public transportation systems.
We divided this project into three stages. First, we edited and improved the initial English translation that was provided by the customer. This stage required a thorough understanding of technical terminology in the field of public transportation and the ability to detect and correct inaccuracies. During the second stage, we translated the texts from English into Portuguese using advanced translation software and expertise in the Portuguese language and culture. The third and decisive stage was quality assurance, during which we meticulously reviewed the translation within the full context of the interface, and ensured that all functionalities and information in the software were accurately and clearly translated.
This project highlighted our expertise in providing complex translations and localization in technological fields requiring a combination of linguistic expertise, a thorough technical understanding of public transportation systems and our ability to localize content according to the cultural and professional needs of users in Portugal. The meticulous process that we performed, from correcting the initial translation provided to us, to our comprehensive quality assurance, demonstrates our commitment to quality and accuracy. This is an excellent example of our expertise in providing comprehensive translation and localization solutions for complex software, customized for specific international markets.
