Hever’s extensive experience with leading companies in Israel and around the world has found that a successful launch of software or of an application in the local market is merely the first step. The next obvious step is expanding your reach and localizing the product for international markets. Launching a product overseas involves far more than just translating the software or application. For your launch to be successful, it must appeal to your target customers and fulfill their needs. This requires localization – customizing the product for foreign markets, including cultural differences, local preferences, regulatory compliance and more.
Localizing software and applications require an in-depth understanding of the local culture and preferences in order to adapt graphic elements, icons and images, color palettes, date and time formats, names and addresses, etc., and highlight relevant features that tailor the product to customers in each target market.
We ensure that all elements, actions and functions in your product are fluently translated in a user-friendly manner that accurately captures the local cultural context for users in each target market. With over 65 years of experience, you can rest assured that we will translate, localize, and perform quality reviews to ensure that you receive an optimally localized product, as evidenced by the countless companies that have selected us to perform this important task.
Over the years, we’ve helped thousands of clients in Israel and around the world,
translating and transcribing their content, and making it accessible.
Here’s what they have to say:
The process of translating an application, interface, or software package can be generally broken down into three phases. The first step, known as globalization, is to perform advance planning of what the different language versions of the app will look like. The next step – given the catchy moniker ‘internationalization’ – is the technical process of preparing the program or application to support multiple languages. Next, we advance to the third phase: localization, which is where we enter the picture. At this stage, the texts themselves are exported for translation, and then updated on the various interfaces before undergoing an array of technical and linguistic tests to ensure perfect implementation.
Of course it’s possible to localize an app into several languages at once, if that’s what you would like. Just first make sure that your source text (whether in English or Hebrew) is clear, accurate, and free of errors to avoid replicating those mistakes in the target languages.
The price range for translating an application is based on the number of words in the source language, the content field, and the various steps the project requires. For example, a medical app will require the services of a translator proficient in that field, and will thus be more expensive than a general lifestyle application.
With over 60 years of experience in the field, there’s no speck of doubt but that we at Hever Translations know what we’re about. We understand the differences between iOS and Android and can translate files directly – saving you precious hours of development work when translating your apps.
As a one-stop shop, we offer clients a pool of no less than 1,000 translation professionals specialized in a broad range of domains as well as an auxiliary support package. Instead of shlepping between translators, at Hever, you’ll find all the services you need at the highest possible quality, at international standards, and with care for the small details.
First of all, we should clarify that the localization process covers more than translation. While translating the text to the target language is of course part of the work, you also need to be familiar with and sensitive to what will work for the culture of your new audience – and what won’t. And of course, localization includes adjusting images, graphic content, dates, times, icons, colors, contact information, and more to the new context.
Our localization engineers, translators, and graphics specialists, combined with our top-of-the-line technologies, will help you overcome the challenge of managing content in multiple languages. We should note that we make sure not to touch the original code of your site or app – if changes are required, we’ll ask you to make them (with our full professional support, of course).
