A new generation of medical devices lets patients manage their health with unprecedented ease. Padagis Israel asked Hever to help make a series of tutorial videos about a blood sugar monitoring system accessible. This innovative sensor connects to a smartphone app, continuously monitors sugar levels, and provides real-time alerts in case of any abnormalities. This technology frees patients from having to perform finger-pricks at specific times throughout the day and lets them take better control of their health.
The challenge was to make the series of five video tutorials accessible to the three primary populations in Israel. Each video required accurate translation of technical instructions into Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian as well as cultural adaptation and full visual accessibility – from embedding subtitles to recording a guide narrated step-by-step.
We created a unique multidisciplinary team that included expert medical translators in each language, video editors, and professional narrators. The team’s combined efforts mean that each detail – from technical terminology to the tone of speech and the exact timing of the subtitles – is precisely tailored to the target audience in each language.
The result is much more than a series of translated videos - we built an accessible and intuitive learning experience to allow patients from different backgrounds use this advanced technology with confidence. This project demonstrates how professional translation and accessibility can transform medical innovations into a useful tool in the hands of every patient.
