This unique and challenging project gave our translation team an opportunity to learn more about the fascinating field of intelligence measurement. The project involved translating a comprehensive international research study of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). This test, which was developed in 1949, is a key tool in the field of psychology for diagnosing and measuring IQ. This project required not only linguistic expertise, but also a deep understanding of complex psychological and scientific terms.
The main challenge in this project was the localization of one of the model’s measurement tools, which required close collaboration with psychology experts to ensure maximum accuracy in the professional terminology. Our team of translators worked day and night, in constant consultation with the professionals, to ensure that every term was translated consistently and precisely. This was critical within the context of psychological measurement tools, where linguistic nuances can influence the results.
This project highlighted our ability to address translation challenges in complex scientific fields. It required not only linguistic proficiency, but also a thorough understanding of the research methodology and the cultural contexts of intelligence tests. As we worked on on this project, we expanded our knowledge in the field of cognitive psychology and strengthened our ability to provide accurate and reliable translations in advanced scientific fields.
