Recording and transcribing court and arbitration hearings require professionalism, precision and, most importantly, the production of hearing minutes that are exact reproductions of the audio recording. This has been our specialty for over 65 years, with thousands of satisfied repeat customers.
In the legal arena, every word is of critical importance. Hever Translations has earned its esteemed reputation by providing advanced recording and transcription services of uncompromising quality, with the outcome being hearing minutes that precisely mirror the audio recording.
We achieve this by combining advanced technology with a team of skilled and experienced professionals. Recordings and transcriptions of court and arbitration hearings will include, as needed, advanced recording equipment, sensitive microphones equipped with smart technology, backup recordings and, of course, a team of experienced recorders and legal transcribers who are experts in legal terminology and in the preparation of admissible minutes. We are also diligent about quality assurance and discretion in keeping with our ISO certifications.
Over the years, we’ve helped thousands of clients in Israel and around the world,
translating and transcribing their content, and making it accessible.
Here’s what they have to say:
Legal transcription is the process of converting a recording to a clear and accurate written text for legal purposes. Anyone who needs to present evidence or testimony of a recorded conversation in a legal context will do so in the form of a professional legal transcription, which accurately reflects everything said in the conversation or discussion – word for word.
The professional transcriptionist first listens to the recordings carefully and attentively, writing a preliminary transcript that includes everything said in an organized file in line with the rules for legal transcription. After this preliminary phase, a more thorough edit is performed, which includes vetting and formatting the text.
Reliability and accuracy are essential for a legal transcription to be admissible in court. The courts do not accept transcriptions made independently, only those by reliable firms that provide legal transcription services. Likewise, the court verifies the clarity and quality of the recording itself, whether it was made using a properly functioning, and that each speaker is a willing participant. Lastly, the court makes sure that no changes or edits were made to the recording. The transcription must not include any interpretation or opinions on the part of the transcriptionist, and must follow the rules of punctuation and grammar in addition to identifying every individual speaker in the recording.
Any high-quality recording in which participants speak voluntarily may be appropriate for a legal transcription. It doesn’t matter whether the recording is of a work hearing, a conversation between friends, or of another debate in court – so long as the recording is complete and unedited. Note that not every secret recording is admissible in court, while even video recordings can be accepted if the image focuses on the participants in the discussion.
We strongly advise refraining from producing your own legal transcription – in the best-case scenario, the result will be inaccurate and fail to provide the evidence you need. If you’re unlucky, the court will assume you acted not out of innocence but in order to falsify evidence, and tack on an additional penalty. We recommend investing in a professional legal transcription from a specialist company, so you can rest assured that the text is accurate, reliable, and objective, and will meet your every need in court.
At Hever Translations, legal transcription services are provided by transcriptionists with multidisciplinary experience, who are at your disposal for every request and who work diligently and meticulously to ensure our transcripts are accepted by the court without any hassle.
